Practice Make Progress

I don’t know where this phrase comes from, but it is true. If you don’t practice, you won’t see any progress. In coaching, I help people make huge changes in their lives. But it always involves being committed to a practice. The first step is deciding that you want to make a change. Then comes the commitment to practicing. In order to live and experience the energy of something in your life, you have to practice. It is not enough to intellectually know something; it must be experienced. You will see the progress shortly after you start practicing. This is true for anything you want to Do, Be, Learn, or Embody in your Life.

As with any practice, you will experience moments of frustration or doubt or hopelessness. Keep going with a knowing that this is a natural part of any journey and growth. You will have hiccups in your daily practice. You might even go days or weeks forgetting to practice. Once you become aware that you have stopped practicing, just start right back up without any judgement. In fact, congratulate yourself for remembering. Celebrate and be Grateful. If you are someone who does better with accountability, ask a friend to help by being your weekly check-in person. Or hire a Coach 😉
