Out With the Old

I have a few friends and clients working hard lately to create new things in their lives. It is wonderful and inspiring to see expansion in other’s lives! Are you also looking to create something new in your life? Maybe a new relationship, a new job, a new house/apartment, an art project, a new experience or maybe even a new attitude. Maybe you don’t know what you want, you just know you are not happy with were you are now.

Well, no matter what it is, you can kick start the process of creation by clearing out the old. This is a sure-fire way to get some movement flowing. I’m talking about clearing out anything that is non-serving in your life. This might be an object in your home/garage/yard, a relationship, a habit/routine, a job, an excuse, or even an old way of thinking (old beliefs, judgments, values, likes/dislikes, self-criticism, etc.) . This list can go on and on. These types of things all can be taking up energy in your life, blocking new from entering.

Sometimes you have a hard time letting go. But if you knew that doing so would move you in the direction of having/experiencing what you truly desire – you would do it. Right?! I speak from experience. I have had many times in my life when letting go of what was no longer serving me opened up wonderful new things and experiences and relationships. Some things - I did not even know I wanted them – I love it when the Universe surprises me! Whenever that happens, I know I am on the right track! ;)

So, take a look around you and discern what is no longer serving you. Be honest in your assessment! If you identify something - know that it is a block (like a pile of junk blocking your way down the path of a fun and joyful life). You can just start releasing and sit back and watch the expansion. But if you are looking to create something specific - while you are releasing these non-serving things from your life, simultaneously start working towards the new thing(s) you desire (even just one step). This is an important part of the process. So, don't just sit there, get started! :)
